About us

SkyFarming Pty Ltd is a small company made up of Andrew Woodroffe and Susanna Floth. It is a small business member of the Australia Wind Energy Association (AusWEA) and the Western Australian Sustainable Energy Association (WA SEA) Inc. We have attended four AusWIND conferences which are put on annually by AusWEA. SkyFarming presented a paper at AusWIND 2004. We are licensed to use WindFarm V4 windfarm developing software.

In addition to the Denmark and Mt Barker community windfarms, we are working on wind monitoring for a large windfarm in China. We have also been involved with Phil Calais on the Manjimup Renewable Energy Study and energy audits in Manjimup for WDREG.

The SkyFarming office is on 100% greenpower ("Natural Power") supplied by Synergy. The carbon pollution from our driving is offset by Men of The Trees' Carbon Neutral programme, http://www.carbonneutral.com.au/.

Andrew Woodroffe, B.E. (Aero), Post Grad Dip Science & Tech Policy

Andrew Woodroffe has an Aeronautical Engineering degree, postgraduate studies in renewable energy, 10 months experience working as a wind energy engineer for Stanwell Corporation, one of Australia's leading windfarm developers and completed the DEWI (Deutsches Windenergie-Institut GmbH) seminar, Wind Farm Projects. Previously, he ran his own business, HERAust, rating the energy efficiency of homes. He is a member of the Alternative Technology Association and has been involved with the Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Association. Andrew is currently the webmaster for the WA SEA Inc website.

Susanna Floth, BA, BSc (Hons)

Susanna Floth has a BA in language studies and 2 years of experience as sales manager Asia - Pacific with Nordex, a leading european wind turbine manufacturer. Previously, she worked as commercial consultant and project manager for large infrastructure projects (municipal water supply and waste water treatment) in China.
